This Privacy Policy describes how the PDF Tools application ("the App", "we", "us") handles your information. The App is designed to be private by default: all PDF processing happens on your device, and your files are never uploaded to our servers. We do not operate any servers that receive your documents.
drive.file scope) — never your entire Drive.PDF and image files you open, edit, scan, merge, split, compress, convert or annotate are processed locally on your device. These files are not collected, transmitted, or stored by us.
The App displays banner, interstitial, rewarded and app-open ads served by Google AdMob. To provide and measure ads, Google may collect and process a device advertising identifier and related technical information (for example, device type, IP address, and general ad-interaction data). This is handled under Google's own privacy policy. You can remove ads entirely via the optional one-time in-app purchase.
If — and only if — you choose to connect Google Drive, the App requests the
drive.file scope. This grants access only to files that
you create with, upload from, or open through the App. The App cannot see or
access any other files in your Google Drive. Your Google account email may be
displayed in the App to indicate the connected account. You can disconnect at
any time from within the App.
The App uses your device camera solely for the document scanner feature (capturing pages to turn into PDFs). Captured images are processed on-device and are not sent to us.
We do not sell your personal data. Information is shared only with the third-party services that make the above features work:
Because your documents are processed on your device, you control them directly: delete files through the App or your device's file manager. You can reset your advertising identifier in your device settings, and you can revoke the App's Google Drive access at any time from your Google Account permissions page. To request any assistance with data, contact us at the email below.
You can opt out of personalized advertising in your device settings (Android: Settings → Google → Ads). Where required by law, the App presents a consent prompt for personalized ads before serving them.
The App is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will address it.
Data transmitted to third-party services (such as ads and, if you use it, Google Drive) is sent over encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS). No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we rely on established, reputable providers for these features.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date.
